Who is behind it

The service is operated by ViSaeb AB, a Swedish company, organisation number 559403-7375. Requests are read by Andreas Saeb, who runs it.

There is no editorial board, no panel of medical advisors and no team of consultants, and this page will not invent any. Andreas is not a licensed physician and does not make medical assessments — that is precisely the boundary the whole service is built around. What he does is read your request, work out which kind of specialist expertise is relevant, and coordinate the contact.

How it is funded

Sending a request is free. If we can coordinate a suitable specialist contact, you are told two amounts in writing before you decide whether to book: our coordination fee (samordningsavgift) and the specialist's fee, which is set by the care provider and paid directly to them.

The coordination fee is our only source of revenue. We take no commissions, referral fees or kickbacks from specialists, clinics or insurers. That is not a courtesy — it is the mechanism that makes independence possible. Because no other party pays us, there is nothing pulling the coordination toward one provider over another.

We do not publish a fixed price, because the work differs between a review of existing investigations and an assessment before a planned operation. What is fixed is the sequence: you see the amount, in writing, before anything is binding.

Why this exists in English

The English pages on this site are written for people who live in Sweden and already hold a Swedish diagnosis, an imaging result or a recommendation for surgery. That is a specific and fairly large group: the guides that exist in English tend to explain how to register at a health centre and stop well before the point where someone is handed a surgical recommendation in a language they do not fully follow.

The pages are editorially produced by Andrabedomning.se from primary Swedish sources — the Patient Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, 1177 and national quality registers — quoted in Swedish with an English rendering alongside, so you can check the wording yourself rather than take ours for it.

What we do not do

• We do not assess, diagnose, interpret imaging or recommend treatment.
• We do not rank, compare or publicly list clinics and specialists.
• We do not take payment from any provider.
• We do not receive your medical records — that material goes directly to the care provider.
• We do not send automated replies to patients.

Andrabedomning.se coordinates the contact. The medical assessment is made by the specialist and care provider you choose.
